My Words, Your Mouth

In Jeremiah 1:5-9, we find God's call of Jeremiah - and God's call of us, as well: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations ... You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you ... Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, 'I have put my words in your mouth.'"

God had a great plan for you before you were even born. A plan to use you to reach not just a handful of people, but entire nations! Sometimes we get fearful when we think about this. We think that we are too young, too inexperienced, too shy, too timid, too intimidated. We forget that it's not about our power or strength, but God's. He will tell us what to say, and who to say it to, but we must be willing to go, confident that He will be with us all along the way.

God can use you to do incredible, awe-inspiring things in this world - if you let Him. Let God touch your mouth with His words, and then let Him touch your feet and point you in the direction in which He wants you to go. Let God touch your mouth and your feet, and then you will be able to touch the world for Him.
