What Will You Say?

In Romans 14:12, Paul tells us that "each of us will give an account of himself to God."

What will you say?

Will you tell God about your high score in bowling, or your tennis trophy, or your sales award, or your gold watch, or your beach house, or your convertible, or how many hours you worked each week, or the corner office you had with the great view, or your straight-A report card, or the time your photo was in the newspaper, or how much you left behind in your bank account?

Or will you tell God how you trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, and how you fed the hungry, and gave drink to the thirsty, and showed compassion to strangers, and clothed the naked, and looked after the sick, and visited those in prison?

What does your "life resume" look like? What's it filled with? When God does this final audit of your life, what will He find?

Have you used everything that God has given you in this life - your gifts, talents, skills, money, relationships, jobs, opportunities, energy, and resources - to serve Him, or just for your own selfish desires and personal gratification and comfort?

We're all going to stand before God one day, and tell Him what we did with our lives.
